Why Stash

I read a lot. For years, I saved links and other resources in my to-do app instead of a bookmark manager. A task asks to be finished, and that kept my links from sinking into the graveyard that bookmarks usually become, whether in a browser or behind the save button of a social app.

But a to-do app was never built for links. It showed me a bare address where a preview should be, and checking a link off threw it away, when a finished article is often something I want to keep.

With Stash, a link is still something to finish. It arrives with a preview, and it can have a due date, a reminder or a place in my queue. When I'm done with it, I archive it, so it stays as a record of what I've read, or I trash it on purpose.

I'm building Stash for myself first, and for anyone else who saves more than they get to.
